Rotherham vs Wimbledon 03.02.2018/ England League One
The hosts Rotherham United head into the game unbeaten in 9 games,
only Rotherham and Derby County are on a run as good as this in all the
none premier leagues I think. Manager Paul Warne has set his side out
really well since early December! The last time the Millers lost was on
the 2nd of December away at Bristol Rovers 2-1. Since this game Warne
and his side has managed 6 wins and 3 draws. There has been some tough
teams in this run also, teams such as Blackpool, Walsall, Blackburn
Rovers, Portsmouth and Bradford City. Rotherham find themselves in 6th
in the table now and in a play off place.
Rotherham head into the game after playing their last 2 league games
at home also, both of which they have won 1-0 and 2-0. They have looked
strong at the back and as a result club captain Richard Wood has penned a
new 18 month contract. Warne has also added to his squad by bringing in
Matty Palmer from Burton and Sheffield United striker Caolan Lavery on
loan until the end of the season. He has great experience at this level
and helped Sheffield United gain promotion last season. I expect Warne
to name an unchanged side to the one which beat Bradford City as they
played very well indeed and the game could have ended 4 or 5 easily.
The visitors for the game are AFC Wimbledon who find themselves in
16th in the league on 34 points, 4 points above the relegation places.
Wimbledon head into the game in good form after winning Bradford 4-0 and
Blackpool 2-0. I think they will be very up for this game after their
latest results.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth 09.12.2017/ England Premier
Palace continue in the right direction under Roy Hodgson and they
received another nice little boost after climbing off the foot of the
table with a hard-fought point at West Brom.
There has to be a
point where the chances they continue to carve out need to be converted
as wins remain thin on the ground but I would not be shocked in the
slightest if one victory ahead of the busy period just around the corner
sparked bit of a purple patch which can shoot them up the standings.
They
are even-money chances to get rolling and I like their chances of
picking up all three points – but not quite enough to back them in the
outright betting so perhaps it is time to get a little creative to boost
the price.
The visitors picked up a point themselves against
Southampton in their south coast derby having taken a first-half lead
and Eddie Howe must still be a little concerned that they are
squandering points with poor defending.
The situation has improved
generally since those horror early weeks of the season when every
little mistake was punished but they gifted Saints the chance to get
level after failing to clear their lines before Lewis Cook was robbed of
the ball just outside his own area.
A similar sort of effort
can’t be ruled out entirely and Palace are just the sort of fast-flowing
team capable of profiting if they can finally put the ball in the back
of the net.
Christian Benteke was found wanting once more at The
Hawthorns when an opportunity broke his way but putting a positive spin
on things would be to argue he is getting closer and closer as he
regains full fitness.
There is no reason why Wilfried Zaha, Andros
Townsend and Ruben Loftus-Cheek won’t continue to thrive and contribute
under Hodgson so I will take a flyer the goals can at last start to
flow back at Selhurst Park and pick the hosts giving up one goal on the
handicap.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth prediction: 1 @ 2,10
Oostende vs Eupen 25.11.2017/ Belgium
After three consecutive victories in Jupiler League in previous
period, players of Oostende were stopped, but still come from a very
positive result taken away from home against Standard Liege last weekend
in a goalless draw.
The game itself wasn't that interesting, since both sides looked
pretty defensive minded. Guests stood playing with a man less in 21st
minute when Capon got red carded, but with a bit of luck the hosts also
stood playing with ten men several minutes later. However, guests played
with nine men in last fifteen minutes since midfielder Vandendriessche
was also sent off, however without real pressure from the home side.
Having in mind everything that happened, Oostende pulled out a positive
result and continued their positive momentum - being undefeated in last
four (with three victories) and five points above the rock bottom placed
Eupen.
Forward Capon (12/4), Vandendriessche (15/0) and defender Jali (13/0)
are all suspended. Injured remains midfielder Jonckheere (4/1). Forward
Berrier and defender Bossaerts both had problems during the midweek,
but should be fine to start here.
Eupen looked like favorites last weekend at home against Antwerp, at
least on the paper, but the side suffered a bit unexpected and narrow
1:0 defeat on Saturday afternoon. Only goal was scored very late into
the match, in 88th minute of the clash via Limbombe.
Overall, it must be said that the players of Eupen did more and had
better chances created, however didn't make the crucial difference,
while once they stood with a goal down, there was no time for them to
react properly. The team now has four consecutive matches without a
victory just taking one point in the process, as they stand at the rock
bottom position with ten points earned so far.
Goalkeeper Hendrik van Crombrugge (14/0) still shouldn't be fit
enough in order to play with again groin injury. Defender Ibrahim Diallo
is still recovering from knee problem and shouldn't be involved either.
Oostende scored twelve goals in last four home matches.
This match means a lot for both teams, since a victory for Eupen
bring them completely back to life and puts Oostende into danger, while
in case of a home victory, they would be huge eight points above the
relegation candidates. Hosts are missing couple of important players,
but with the momentum they have, I can't see past the home victory here.
Oostende vs Eupen prediction: 1 @ 1,73
West Brom vs Chelsea 18.11.2017/ England Premier
West Brom (16th) sit just one point above the bottom three and with
speculation that their manager Pulis is in trouble in keeping his job,
then more reason for them to go out there and look for the win. West
Brom's problem is their defence as they have allowed a goal in eight of
their last nine games, which has seen them get four draws and five
losses. Expect Pulis to go out swinging, and given that they have scored
in four of their five home games, then believe they will go on the
attack here. At home, they lost 3-2 to the leaders Manchester City, drew
2-2 with Watford (9th), drew 0-0 with West Ham (18th), drew 1-1 with
Stoke (14th) and beat Bournemouth (17th) 1-0 so they do have goals in
them.
Chelsea (4th) have found some form after a minor slump as
they beat Manchester United (2nd) 1-0 at home and won 1-0 at Bournemouth
(17th). Prior to that they had beaten Watford 4-2 at home, lost 2-1 at
Crystal Palace (20th) and lost 1-0 at home to Manchester City (1st).
That loss at Crystal Palace was the only one of their five away games
they have lost, as they also won 4-0 at Stoke (14th), and both 2-1 at
both Tottenham (3rd) and Leicester (12th). So while they have been too
strong for most of these teams on the road, they have also conceded in
three of them, and with Cahill likely to be out injured for this game,
they are missing a vital piece in the centre of their defence. Luiz may
get a call up, but he was not in the team in the last game due to
"tactical" reasons, and no guarantee he will play here.
West Brom vs Chelsea prediction: 2 @ 1,54
St Truiden vs Eupen 04.11.2017/ Belgium
St Truiden was in a really nice form as the team managed to get a
point on the road to Lokeren and had two consecutive home victories,
over Mouscron and Oostende, but the side failed to prove themselves more
threatening and competitive in a 4:1 defeat away from home against Club
Brugge last weekend.
However, nobody will be downhearted with such outcome, since the
players of Club Brugge stood as huge favorites before the match and
surely are way more superior in every aspect of the game. Still, Stu
Truiden gave a good fight to them in the first halftime and despite
being back in the scoreline from 18th minute, they got back and replied
two minutes later via Legear, however as the game progressed it was
obvious that they didn't have enough energy to face up against their
hosts. The team slipped down the table after this defeat, but are still
at very high fourth position and surely aim to get a three pointer here
in order to stay inside the play-off zone for as long as possible.
Forwards Igor Vetokele (6/2), Cristian Ceballos (2/2) and Babacar
Gueye (3/0) are all sidelined with injuries, but all three being already
out for some time. Game comes too soon for central back Sascha Kotysch
(12/0) most likely too.
Eupen, on the other side, comes from a narrow 2:3 defeat in front of
own fans against Anderlecht last weekend, giving more than a good fight
to way more superior club such as Anderlecht is. They entered way too
passive into the game and conceded three goals from 30th to 40th minute,
two as own goals and one from Hanni, but replied much better in the
second halftime.
They played without pressure in the second halftime and it gave
positive results, since the side firstly reduced in 61st minute via
Garcia, but then continued attacking and even though they reduced again
only in 90th minute via Ocansey, the side deserved (much) more out of
the clash since they have attacked and created much more chances than
their passive visitors in the second halftime. The side is only second
from the bottom at the moment, having just a point more than rock bottom
placed side Mechelen. Goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge (13/0)
shouldn't be performing here due muscle injury.
Even though Eupen comes from a pretty positive performance against
Anderlecht, I don't rate them anything close to threatening away from
home and can't see them repeating similar performance again very soon.
St Truiden have been pretty powerful in front of own fans with solid
rock solid performances and in case the side repeats anything similar,
this should be their victory easier than the odds suggest.
St Truiden vs Eupen prediction: 1 @ 1,78
Bournemouth vs Chelsea 27.10.2017/ England
Bournemouth are going through the season so far exactly as expected, by
being very inconsistent and following a run of successive defeats with a
run of positive performances. You never know which Bournemouth side
will turn up as they’re are just as likely to win 3-0 as they are to
lose 3-0.
Eddie Howe’s side are certainly better at home than
they are away from home, and have registered three wins and a draw from
their last four outings on home turf.
Despite their reasonable
home form, Bournemouth do not have a good record against a Chelsea. From
10 meetings, Bournemouth have won just twice with Chelsea securing
seven victories. Chelsea have also won the last three game since between
the two sides, scoring ten goals in the process. You have to go back to
1988 to find the only time Bournemouth have beaten Chelsea at home
Bournemouth
have strikers Callum Wilson nearing full fitness after injury but do
look short of options up front, with fellow striker Josh King also
lacking full fitness. Afobe is likely to lead the line on his own here.
Chelsea
sit a full nine points off the pace in the Premier League and rumour
has it that the Stamford Bridge hierarchy are getting frustrated with
their coach Antonio Conte despite him leading the side to the title last
season.
Chelsea have had a few injuries, but the injuries cannot
be used as an excuse for the poor performances in numerous games this
season. The real problem seems to be a lack of defensive organisation,
despite this appearing their main strength last season.
It is
difficult to pinpoint what has changed, as its largely the same players
and tactics, but maybe Conte is a short term impact manager with one
fixed approach that players get bored with. Their fans are certainly
getting bored of conceding goals – Chelsea have conceded nine goals in
their last five matches and just one clean sheet in the last eight
games.
Chelsea could welcome back star man N’Golo Kante after a
hamstring injury, a player who will certainly improve their team
tremendously, and also should have fellow defensive midfielder Tiemoue
Bakayoko available after he missed the last two games. This will bring
back a bit of balance to the Chelsea side, relieve a bit of the
defensive pressure and free up their attacking players to do their
thing.
Despite their problems, I do fancy Chelsea to collect
three points here on the south coast. It’s a game they must win to avoid
slipping up for the fourth time in six matches and it’s a game that is
very winnable. The likely pace of the match and Bournemouth's tactics
will play into Chelsea’s hands and I can see a comfortable away win in
the end.
Bournemouth vs Chelsea prediction: 2 @ 1,65
Burnley v Huddersfield 23.09.2017 / England Premier
Both these sides fielded much-changed line-ups in midweek and were
dumped out of the Carabao Cup so the Premier League becomes the sole
focus of attention until the FA Cup in the new year.
Sean Dyche
and David Wagner will have been delighted with the starts the pair have
made in the top-flight, Dyche impressing in particular with the way he
has been able to secure points at Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool – a
far cry from last season’s abysmal overall away record.
The trick
is to now get going at Turf Moor with just one success on the slate so
far against Crystal Palace in a match they were gifted an early goal and
then spent the remainder of the game pretty much under the cosh.
That
form does not really equate to a quote of 11/10 for me against Wagner’s
well-drilled, no-frills outfit although some of the early-season
momentum has started to stall after no wins in their last four outings.
I
don’t think there will be much between the pair and it might well come
down to a solitary goal with Chris Wood or Robbie Brady for the hosts
possessing that little piece of quality required to make the difference.
Rather than back them, I will invest in under 1.5 total goals
instead with the duo very sound operators at the back and unlikely to be
swamped by a hatful of opportunities.
Burnley v Huddersfield prediction: 1 @ 2,15
Huddersfield vs Leicester 16.09.2017/ England Premier
Huddersfield are one of the favorites for relegation this season but
they have done their ambition of staying in the Premier league a whole
lot of good by getting 7 points so far. They started off with a
surprising 3-0 win away at Crystal Palace before winning 1-0 against
Newcastle and then drawing 0-0 at Southampton. They couldn't keep the
unbeaten run going on Monday though as they succumbed to two late goals
to lose 2-0 at West Ham. This should be areal test of their character
though and it will be interesting to see whether they can bounce back
from that disappointment.
Leicester have endured a difficult
start to the campaign after playing Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all in
the first four games of the season. They lost all those games as
expected and it is against opponents like Huddersfield they are expected
to pick the points from. They won against another promoted team
Brighton by 2-0 in the other of their four games played. Leicester have
made some good buys this season and have also kept the tricky Algerian
winger Riyad Mahrez and brought in Nigerian prodigy Kelechi Iheanacho
from Man City, although he has had no impact until this point and maybe
he will start alongside Vardy here.
Leicester have the better of
the head to head games winning 6 of 7 with the other ending in a draw.
Leicester have endured a tough start after having to play Man United at
Old Trafford, Arsenal at the Emirates and then champions Chelsea, the
will be happy to face a less quality opponent and I believe they have
they batter squad and more experience at this level too. I reckon we
should see an away win here.
Huddersfield vs Leicester prediction: 2 @ 2,25
Nice vs Monaco 09.09.2017/ France
Nice is nowhere close to a positive start in the season, as the side
has suffered exclusion from Champions League against Napoli (previously
winning over Ajax thanks to a away goal rule), but the side is also
having a very poor start in the French Ligue 1. After four rounds
played, they have just a victory over Guingamp at home in a match played
more than three weeks ago.
They firstly lost in the season opener against St Etienne on the
road, than have suffered defeat at home against Troyes, while the side
got completely outplayed in previous round when they lost to mediocre
Amiens with a 3:0 result before the international break. True, they had
much more of the ball possession, but weren't moving the ball well and
weren't that threatening at all, in comparison to the home team which
simply knew always what they wanted taking the double lead first
halftime via Kakuta and Konate, while the second one sealed their
victory in 88th minute. The team is now tied up with play-out placed
Amiens and need to react drastically better as soon as possible.
Defender Dante (4/0) is suspended for this one, while midfielder
Wylan Cyprien remains long term absentee with a broken leg. Forwards
Mario Balotelli (1/0), Mickael Le Bihan (no performance so far) and
defender Malang Sarr (3/0) are doubtful for this one due different
reasons and with little chances to get involved in the match.
Monaco, on the other side, is having very well results so far in the
season and something that is maybe a bit surprising - the team looks
really effective for now. Their season has started with a defeat against
PSG in the French Super Cup game, but the side has only victories since
then. They firstly won over Toulouse at home, but also on the road
against Dijon and Metz, while the latest victim in Ligue 1 was Marseille
two weekends ago.
Players of Monaco showed all of their potential, especially in attack
as they managed to record 6:1 victory. Glik opened up the opponent with
a goal in second minute, while Falcao netted two more, in 20th and 34th
minute, while Diakhaby scored once again till the halftime. They were
completely dominant, not even needing a lot of ball possession to find
opponents net, as they scored two more in the second halftime - via
Sidibe and Fabinho, all the visitors were able is to score once, in 74th
via Cabella. Monaco is now sharing the leading position with PSG and
they surely are the only opponent in the title race. During the
international break they won over Nimes 4:1 in a friendly game.
Only absentee for the visiting side could be midfielder Gabriel
Boschilia who is slowly recovering from knee injury and might not be
risked in this one.
Having in mind what we saw from these two teams till now in the
season, it's really hard to see anything but Monaco's victory here. Away
team has their good form, has momentum and surely more quality
individuals in their side.
Nice vs Monaco prediction: 2 @ 1,78
Lille vs Bordeaux 08.09.2017/ France
Fifth game week in Ligue 1 will start with the first match between Lille and Bordeaux on friday afternoon
Lille
started the season with a big win againts Nantes (3;0) and in the
beginning they seemed dangerous in the attack and solid in the defence
.But after this match surprisingly they just kind a turned off and had some very bad games !!
They lost againts Strasbourg and Caen and had a draw againts Angers.Scoring just 1 goal and received 6 goals.
They're
finding difficult to find the net and their defensive line seemed in
panic and pretty bad in marking every time the opponent teams attacked. In the other side Bordeaux is having a pretty good start in this season ,they have 8 points after 4 matches scoring 9 goals and received 6 goals .They won at home againts Metz and Troyes and had 2 draws as a visitor againts Lyon and Angers but they kept
playing a very good game in the attack scoring 5 goals from 2 matches as a visitor.
Lille for this match will miss these players (Bautheac,Benzia,Mendes,Mendyl,Soumaoro)
Bordeaux will miss only the right back Milan Gajic.
Lille probable line up:
Maignan,Alonso.Amadou,Malcuit,Edgar Le,Bissouma,Thiago Maia,Pepe,DAraujo,El-ghazi-De preville
Bordeaux probable line up(4-3-3) : Costil,Toulalan,Jovanovic,Pellenard,Sabaly,Lerager,Otavio,Sankhare,Malcom,Kamano,Cafu
Lille will try to get back their good form and to attack more, starting from this match and will try to grab 3 points, but Bordeaux is having a good momentum and they can be very dangerous in every moment from the counterattacks and also they have some players who can also score from the outside of the box like Brazilian winger Malcom who has a very powerful shot.
I'm gonna try to be simple why I chose to play this tip, Lille defence still seems to have troubles in this start of the seasson while I liked very much offensive line of Bordeaux in the other side,so expect Bordeaux to score more than once on friday night.
Lille vs Bordeaux prediction : 2 @ 2,65
Hajduk Split vs Everton 24.08.2017/ Europa League
Everton have just one more hurdle to negotiate in their bid to make it to the Europa League group stage.
The
Toffees beat Hajduk Split 2-0 at Goodison Park to take a commanding
lead in this qualifying tie but Ronald Koeman was unhappy that his side
weren't able to secure an even more comfortable advantage.
Michael Keane and Idrissa Gueye both netted to put Everton 2-0 up but no more goals followed to leave Koeman frustrated.
"In
my opinion we lost a big opportunity to score more goals in the second
half because we dropped the tempo," the Dutchman said in his post-match
press conference.
"It is always good to have a clean sheet in the
first leg at home. Two-nil is a good result but you always like to reach
the maximum - today the maximum was more goals."
A bigger lead
would have allowed Koeman to make more changes following Monday night's
1-1 draw at Manchester City in the Premier League.
Everton played
against 10-men for much of the contest following Kyle Walker's red card,
Morgan Schneiderlin was dismissed late on too for the Toffees, but it
was still a decent point against the Premier League title favourites.
Koeman will make alterations to his starting XI but he knows that
Split need to be taken seriously after a few second half scares for the
hosts at Goodison.
Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford produced three smart
saves to enhance his burgeoning reputation and those incidents will
form the majority of Koeman's pre-match comments to his team.
I
think Everton will be ready for the toughest test of their Europa League
campaign to date and close to 3/1 is very inviting for the visitors to
win to nil in Croatia.
Raheem Sterling's late equaliser for City
was the first goal that the Toffees have conceded in five matches so far
this season, including their three outings in the Europa League so far.
The
name of the game for Everton in Split is to keep it simple. They can do
just that so back Koeman's side to claim their fifth win to nil in six
games at the start of the new campaign.
Hajduk Split vs Everton prediction: 2 @ 2,15
Bologna vs Juventus 27.05.2017/ Italy
Last round in the Serie A and the Champions will visit Bologna. Odds
were extremely high but dropped enormous. Bologna are also done for the
season. They are currently in 15th position and they could only move up
to 14th position and pass Chievo. Bologna scored 39 goals and conceded
56 which gives them an average of 1.05 goals scored and 1.51 conceded
and this brought them 41 points so far. Their form is decent with 2
wins, 3 losses in the last 5 games played. They scored 10 goals and
conceded 10 as well which makes the maths easy with 2 goals scored and 2
conceded per game. They achieved wins over Pescara (20) and Udinese
(12) at home.
Bologna their form at home is not that much
different from their form away. They won 3 games and lost 2. The wins
were all over quite low ranked teams with wins over Pescara (20) Udinese
(12) and Chievo (14). The losses were against the bigger teams, Roma
(2) and Lazio (4). In these games against the big teams they did not
manage to score any goal and conceded 5. Actually Bologna did not win
any game against a team in the current top 6 of this season, not even
the current top 8. They only defeated Torino (9) ones. Bologna scored
only 1 goal in the last 5 games against Juventus at theur own stadium.
The
player who is unsure for this one at Bologna side is Verdi (28) who
already scored 6 goals this season for Bologna and is a key player in
the Bologna team.
Possible line-up Bologna:
Bologna (4-3-3): Mirante; Torosidis, Gastaldello, Helander, Mbaye; Donsah, Taider, Pulgar; Verdi (?), Destro, Krejci
♣ Bologna are done as well, lack of quality
♣ Bologna did only score one goal against Juventus in the last 5 games played against them at home
♣ Bologna did not win a single game against the top 6 this season
Juventus
are the fresh champions of the Serie A. They are in first position with
88 points out of 37. Scoring 75 goals and conceding 26, it gives them
an average of 2.03 scored goals and only 0.70 goals conceded per game.
With these amazing numbers Juve only lost 5 of their games and drew 4 of
them, winning 28. Their form is bad comparing to their season
appearance with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Scoring 11 (2.2 average) and
conceding 6 (1.2 average). So it seems that the Juve defense is a
little bit sloppier lately and that they have some bad luck as the
averages are still pretty good. The loss was against Roma and can be
explained by the cup final they had ahead. They drew against Torino (9)
and Atalanta (5) (late equalizer). So also the opponents against who
they dropped some points were not bad at all.
Juve their away
form is not that different because the last five away games include the
ones against Roma and Atalanta but actually their away form is not even
interested. The high odds on Juventus were obviously because everyone
expected them to play with a full B-team because of the big champions
league final, but latest news tells us different. Eurosport.it gave us
the possible line-up which contains a lot of stars and as result the
odds dropped very fast. The possible-line up is below. Besides the last
time that Juventus lost against Bologna has been in 1999.
Possible line-up Juventus
Juventus (4-2-3-1): Audero; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Benatia, Asamoah; Marchisio, Khedira; Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic; Higuain.
KEYSTATS
♣ Juventus will not play with a B-team.
♣ Juventus haven't lost agaisnt Bologna since 1999.
Bologna vs Juventus prediction: 2 @ 1,75
Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig 20.05.2017/ Germany
Frankfurt are in 11th position and their season is done. They can not
reach a top spot in the league anymore and also relegation is not
something they have to worry about. Frankfurt got 41 points in the
Bundesliga this season with 34 scored goals and 41 allowed goals which
brings them an average of 1.03 scored goals and 1.24 conceded goals per
match in a total of 33 matches this season. This is their last game of
the season and I don’t think it will end well.
Frankfurt are in
terrible form lately (L L L W L) with only one win over Augsburg (14)
which should be a sure win for them. Frankfurt managed to score only 6
goals in their last 5 games and conceded 11 and we can see that in these
games their scoring average is almost the same but they conceded 2.2
goals in the last 5 which is almost a goal more than their season
average. Conclusion is, terrible form lately. The only thing that could
save them this game is their form at home, but that form is not much
better. Despite the fact that they did lose only one game in the last 5
at home, still a close look at these games shows nothing to be proud of.
Frankfurt only scored 5 goals in these last 5 (from which 3 against
Augsburg) at home and the only positive thing is that they only conceded
5 as well.
Frankfurt are missing a pretty big number of
players. Vallejo (24), Hasebe (22), Mascarell (28), Meier (20), Rebic
(24) are all out. The first named players are struggling with injury’s
and Rebic is ruled out for this one. As you know from me I always tell
the goals the missing players produced together and in this case that is
8 goals of their total 34 goals this season. Frankfurt lost the first
game against Leipzig with 3-0, producing only 3 shots on target and a
possession of 34%.
Possible line-up Frankfurt:
3-4-2-1
Hradecky; Oczipka, Abraham, Hector; Tawatha, Gacinovic, Chandler, Varela, Fabián, Hrgota; Seferovic
KEYSTATS:
♣ Frankfurt are in terrible form
♣ Frankfurt are dealing with quite a lot of injury’s
♣ Last game ended up 3-0 Leipzig
Leipzig
have had a stunning season. The lads of Leipzig will end in second
place in the Bundesliga with at least 2 points ahead of Dortmund and
they will end the season in style. Leipzig gathered 66 points this
season (25 more than Frankfurt), scored 64 goals and conceded 37. It
gives them an average of 1.94 goals scored per game and 1.12 goals
conceded per game. Their recent form is decent (L W D D W) with the
latest loss of course the one against Bayern in a real thriller. Leipzig
lost 4-5 after being 4-2 ahead against the Champions of Germany and in
my opinion they showed the better football during most parts of the
game. Leipzig have been showing that they score quite easy in the last 5
games with 13 goals scored and 7 conceded. So their scoring average has
been 2.6 per game in the last 5 and they conceded only 1.4 per game
(including the game against Bayern).
Leipzig are almost complete
for this one, only player that is missing will be Orban (28), he only
produced 3 goals but is an important player in the Leipzig defense.
Still Leipzig has enough players on their bench to replace him so I do
not see this as a problem. Leipzig will end their season in style and
will grab a last win here against Frankfurt.

Mainz vs Eintracht Frankfurt 13.05.2017/ Germany
Mainz shares relegation fight and with only 2 rounds left from
Bundesliga, hosts here need a win and this match is practicly must win
situation. Hamburger have hard match vs Schalke on road, as long as
major opponent for avoiding relegation plays against solid squad and
even on road, hosts despite being in bad shape lately have the most
valuable chance to save the season and keep their Bundesliga status for
next season.
Facing vs middle-placed Frankfurt who shares no
ambition left as visitors are just far away for improving their ranking
and position, simple are out of motivation. Also, Frankfurt are passing
trough crisses as have lost 3 out of last 4 league matches, their 2nd
half of the season is poor, road matches remains hard task as they
didn’t manage an road win since January. Also, their list of injured
players looks quiet long here: Hasebe, Mascarell, Meier, Vallejo, Wolf
while Ordonez remains doubtfull.
Opel Arena filled with home
supporters and fans, sharing their extra courage and support to their
team should bring extra level of motivation, to push the players at most
difficult moments and some time most valuable match of the season.
Hosts shares perfect match-up to make step forward in case to save the
season in best possible way.

Burnley vS West Brom 06.05.2017/ England Premier
A buoyant Clarets outfit could move within one point of the Baggies
with success at Turf Moor as they try to build on finally notching an
away victory this season.
There was no fluke about the performance either at Crystal Palace as
they controlled the game tactically and at last managed to put away two
chances with clinical efficiency.
I wonder whether as well there was a little additional motivation to
deliver the goods for ‘absent’ midfield hero Joey Barton and the 39
points they now have on the board looks good enough.
Grounded manager Sean Dyche did not celebrate with anything more than
a cup of coffee on his way home from London though but is keen to press
on with a top-half finish still very much in play.
Their outstanding home form has dropped off a little with just one
victory in five in all competitions but an odds-against quote is a
tempting play here to rediscover the winning knack against a West Brom
team that can’t seem to get out of its own way at the moment.
Talk a little over a month ago of smashing the 50-point barrier in
the Premier League for a first time seemed a formality having swept
aside Arsenal and drawn with Manchester United at Old Trafford but they
have been stuck in a considerable rut ever since.
The tally now stands at four straight defeats and no goals scored
although they have hardly been blown away in three 1-0 reverses but that
little bit of extra quality Tony Pulis always craves has been obvious
by its absence.
He is not helped on that front once again with Matt Phillips and Hal
Robson-Kanu still sidelined which leaves Salomon Rondon – fresh from his
cataclysmic error to set up Leicester’s winner last week – as the lone
goal threat up front.
The Venezuelan has not scored in 19 games and it could be another
long afternoon against a sound Burnley defence behind which Tom Heaton
is looking for an 11th clean sheet of the campaign.
Dyche will admit that Burnley’s worst effort all season came at The
Hawthorns in a 4-0 November drubbing (3-0 down before the break) but
they look in good shape to make amends.

Swansea vs Stoke 22.04.2017/ England Premier
A promising start from Paul Clement at the helm for Swansea is
turning into a bigger nightmare by the week and he has labelled this
fixture as not only ‘must-win’ but the biggest game in years for the
hosts.
He admits his players have not responded well to the pressure of a
relegation battled with flat performances against West Ham and Watford
so I wonder what his thinking is behind placing so much emphasis on this
outing?
Both the above fixtures finished 1-0 so not a great deal more would
have been needed to take something from them in all honesty.
The excellent Alfie Mawson’s horror mistake to gift Etienne Capoue a
winner last week has been the last six weeks in a nutshell and probably
adds credence to the old wives tale about being punished for every
little mistake when you are at the bottom of the table.
Swansea have been priced up at around the 5/4 mark and that looks
pretty skinny for a team in their predicament, but Stoke are the ideal
type of opponent to try and restore some confidence.
It is just about job done for the Potters after a 3-1 success over
Hull ended a barren spell of four defeats on the spin to leave them on a
handy 39 points.
There are some very talented players under the leadership of Mark
Hughes but they remain frustratingly hit and miss and well capable of
luring punters in to erroneously supporting them on the back of a decent
display.
They were making heavy weather of beating the Tigers but two inspired
substitutions worked the oracle and I get the feeling Hughes himself
sometimes does not know quite what he will get.
So I am going to take a punt on the home side to respond in a
positive manner to Clement’s battle cry – Mawson will be fired-up to
make amends while it is high time Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Lorente
stood up and were counted.

Trabzonspor vs Besiktas 08.04.2017/ Turkey
In Turkish Super League; Trabzonspor will host league leader Beşiktaş
JK. The highflying Black Sea side Trabzonspor is unbeaten since 10
league matches. They have won 8 of those matches and draw 2 of them
against Alanyaspor (0-0) and Konyaspor (1-1).
The league leader
and last years Champion Beşiktaş JK won this season only 7 of the 13
away league matches. This is only a little over 50% of the matches. On
the otherhand in the last 3 away matches Beşiktaş JK have a record of 1 W
- 1 D - 1 L.
If the take the results that both sides took
lately; its easy to say it will be a difficult match for the league
leader. But in reality its not. I have watched all last 3 league matches
of Trabzonspor in front of the TV. I got the feeling that they are
getting bad week after week. In the match against Akhisar Bld.;
Trabzonspor came from 1-0 and won 1-3. They were the better side on the
pitch. But we should not forget that in the first 30 minutes we didn't
see to much from them.
In last match at home against Galatasaray
SK; despite the 2-0 win, Trabzonspor wasn't good enough. The main reason
of my Beşiktaş JK bet here is the Trabzonspor's last league match
against the neighbour Rizespor. The Black Sea team won 1-0 but they were
bad. Rizespor dominated the match and had better chances. It was a
really lucky winner for the Trabzonspor.
Trabzonspor will miss Dame N'Doye. Mehmet Ekici is out of squad. Beşiktaş JK will be without injured Caner Erkin.
The
breakpoint of this match will be of course the first goal. During the
10 unbeaten run only 2 times Trabzonspor conceded the first goals. One
was against Konyaspor (1-1) the other one against Akhisar Bld. (1-3).
Beşiktaş JK is playing really good. The league leader can score here
first and will be enough to win the match I think. Trabzonspor have to
take more risks and it will give Beşiktaş JK to increase there lead to
2-0 and 3-0.

Leicester vs Stoke City 01.04.2017/ England Premier
Time for the English Premier League to return after the international
break. Round 30 provides us again with interesting fixtures and one of
them is on King Power Stadium where the champions Leicester City take on
Stoke City.
The hosts although champions from last season were
headed towards the danger zone. That was until a few games ago when
Claudio Ranieri was sacked and replaced by Craig Shakespeare. Since then
4 straight wins including one over Liverpool and a turnaround in the
aggregate result against Sevilla in the Champions League. Vardy is also
getting into form and is now first both in assists and in goals for
Leicester and also scored for England in the weekend. Another prove of
the excellent form the champions are coming into are the 3 goals per
game in their last 3 league outings.
Stoke are a solid team but
most of their points come at home. They sit on 9th place after losing
1-0 to WBA last game. Their defensive line looks shaky away with 17
goals in their last seven trips and their attack hasn’t found the net in
their last 3 away games. Adding to the situation are also the injuries
of Jack Butland and Stephen Ireland who will both miss the game. Glen
Johnson is also a doubt and may not be able to carry full 90minutes.
On their head to head stats nothing really comes in handy as they have
drawn 4 and each won 2 of their last 7 games. With Leicester vastly
improving their play and form I expect them to try and win this one.

Everton vs Hull 18.03.2017/ England Premier
There will be plenty of punters shovelling the cash on potential home
bankers Everton at odds-on as they bid to bring up five wins on the
trot at Goodison Park.
They have not conceded in three of those either as manager Ronald
Koeman was purring once again after they strolled to a 3-0 success over
West Brom with star men Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku finishing the
season strongly.
Both have been the subject of will-they/won’t-they contract rumours
in the week and as long as neither has been overly distracted, it is
going to take a super-human effort from the visitors to keep them under
control for 90 minutes.
Hull recorded an important victory against Swansea last week but
remain mired in the bottom three and will more than likely still be
there unless they discover some sort of magic potion to cure an abysmal
away record.
It stands currently at 11 defeats out of 12 since the end of October
will have to be addressed to some extent if they are not going to be
heading straight back into the Sky Bet Championship.
The obvious glimmer of hope is their efforts at the KCOM Stadium
(WWWWDW since the start of the year) and new head coach Marco Silva
needs to cement an impressive start to his work in England by somehow
ensuring they are a bit less powder-puff on their travels.
This should be an interesting afternoon for last week's double-goal
hero Oumar Niasse on his return to the club that felt he had nothing to
offer and Hull’s slim opportunity to all intents and purposes will rely
on chances dropping his way in the belief he will get on from the
start.
That said, even the biggest Tigers optimist would be hard pushed to
see the team taking anything from this and the home side can keep up a
strong charge for Europe.
