Oostende vs Eupen 25.11.2017/ Belgium
After three consecutive victories in Jupiler League in previous period, players of Oostende were stopped, but still come from a very positive result taken away from home against Standard Liege last weekend in a goalless draw.
The game itself wasn't that interesting, since both sides looked pretty defensive minded. Guests stood playing with a man less in 21st minute when Capon got red carded, but with a bit of luck the hosts also stood playing with ten men several minutes later. However, guests played with nine men in last fifteen minutes since midfielder Vandendriessche was also sent off, however without real pressure from the home side. Having in mind everything that happened, Oostende pulled out a positive result and continued their positive momentum - being undefeated in last four (with three victories) and five points above the rock bottom placed Eupen.
Forward Capon (12/4), Vandendriessche (15/0) and defender Jali (13/0) are all suspended. Injured remains midfielder Jonckheere (4/1). Forward Berrier and defender Bossaerts both had problems during the midweek, but should be fine to start here.
Eupen looked like favorites last weekend at home against Antwerp, at least on the paper, but the side suffered a bit unexpected and narrow 1:0 defeat on Saturday afternoon. Only goal was scored very late into the match, in 88th minute of the clash via Limbombe.
Overall, it must be said that the players of Eupen did more and had better chances created, however didn't make the crucial difference, while once they stood with a goal down, there was no time for them to react properly. The team now has four consecutive matches without a victory just taking one point in the process, as they stand at the rock bottom position with ten points earned so far.
Goalkeeper Hendrik van Crombrugge (14/0) still shouldn't be fit enough in order to play with again groin injury. Defender Ibrahim Diallo is still recovering from knee problem and shouldn't be involved either.
Oostende scored twelve goals in last four home matches. This match means a lot for both teams, since a victory for Eupen bring them completely back to life and puts Oostende into danger, while in case of a home victory, they would be huge eight points above the relegation candidates. Hosts are missing couple of important players, but with the momentum they have, I can't see past the home victory here.
