Rotherham vs Wimbledon 03.02.2018/ England League One
The hosts Rotherham United head into the game unbeaten in 9 games, only Rotherham and Derby County are on a run as good as this in all the none premier leagues I think. Manager Paul Warne has set his side out really well since early December! The last time the Millers lost was on the 2nd of December away at Bristol Rovers 2-1. Since this game Warne and his side has managed 6 wins and 3 draws. There has been some tough teams in this run also, teams such as Blackpool, Walsall, Blackburn Rovers, Portsmouth and Bradford City. Rotherham find themselves in 6th in the table now and in a play off place.
Rotherham head into the game after playing their last 2 league games at home also, both of which they have won 1-0 and 2-0. They have looked strong at the back and as a result club captain Richard Wood has penned a new 18 month contract. Warne has also added to his squad by bringing in Matty Palmer from Burton and Sheffield United striker Caolan Lavery on loan until the end of the season. He has great experience at this level and helped Sheffield United gain promotion last season. I expect Warne to name an unchanged side to the one which beat Bradford City as they played very well indeed and the game could have ended 4 or 5 easily.
The visitors for the game are AFC Wimbledon who find themselves in 16th in the league on 34 points, 4 points above the relegation places. Wimbledon head into the game in good form after winning Bradford 4-0 and Blackpool 2-0. I think they will be very up for this game after their latest results.
